Amy Chorost is a seasoned executive coach and leadership development consultant with a track record of developing and maintaining deep and lasting partnerships with her clients. With a strong background in the assessment and coaching of managers and executives, Amy facilitates performance improvement and gets results by helping successful people realize their highest potential. She is skilled at partnering with clients to create learning processes that target their unique needs and lead to lasting behavior change and improved results.
In a previous role as a Senior Consultant at Personnel Decisions International (PDI, now part of Korn Ferry), Amy was recognized as one of the top coaches in the organization and held a leadership role in coaching services practice area. Her coaching clients range from C-level executives to valued managers. Due to her expertise in the coaching arena, she has frequently been called upon to develop the coaching capabilities of both her client’s internal and external coaches.
Additionally, Amy has partnered with organizations to help them be more successful by significantly reducing turnover, increasing team performance, driving culture change, and preparing their bench for future challenges. With experience in designing, managing, and running high potential leadership development programs for multiple organizations, she brings a broad perspective to her engagements. As part of those programs, she has designed and implemented action learning projects which have impacted both organizational strategy and individual leader growth.
Amy has extensive experience in the following industries: Financial Services, Hospitality, Energy, Technology, Construction, Retail, Transportation, Manufacturing, and Consumer Products.
Amy holds a B.A. from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst with a double major in Psychology and Interpersonal Communication: Honors and a Ph.D. in Human Ecology from the University of Texas at Austin. She has several years of experience teaching in a university context and has lectured at the Cox Executive Business School at SMU. Amy is also an experienced crisis counselor who, in addition to providing counseling in crisis situations, has developed and facilitated training for crisis counselors in a community mental health setting. Amy is a Master Certified Coach (MCC) and is a member of the American Psychological Association (APA), the division of Consulting Psychology, and the International Coach Federation (ICF).
A resident of the Dallas-Fort Worth area since 1995, Amy is married and has two children and two dogs. She enjoys all things outdoors and is an exercise enthusiast.
